Using SubtitleMedic

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You don't need an account, and there is nothing to pay: every tool is free for personal and commercial work.

Your files stay yours

The subtitle and video files you open are processed by your own browser and never sent to us, as the Privacy Policy explains. We claim no rights over them or over the files you download. You are responsible for having the right to use, edit and share the subtitles you work on, for example when they belong to a film studio, a broadcaster or another translator.

Acceptable use

Please use the site the way it is meant to be used. You agree not to:

• try to break, overload or get around the security of the site or its hosting;
• copy the site, or large parts of its text, and present it as your own;
• use automated scripts to send large numbers of requests to the site;
• use the contact form to send spam, abuse or anything unlawful.

No warranty

We work hard to make every tool accurate, but subtitle files come in many shapes and some are damaged in ways no tool can foresee. The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that it will always be online, free of errors, or right for your purpose.

Always keep your original file. Every tool saves its result as a new download and never changes the file on your disk, so you can go back and try again.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, SubtitleMedic and the people behind it are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or the files it produces, including lost work, missed deadlines or lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.

Our content

The text, guides, design and code of SubtitleMedic belong to us. You are welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a link back. Please don't republish whole guides or copy the tools.

Advertising and links to other sites

The site may show advertising to stay free, and it may link to other websites. We don't control those sites or ads and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data. If we add advertising, the Privacy Policy will describe it before it appears.

Changes

We may change these terms as the site grows. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
