Privacy Policy

Last updated [DATE]

Files you open in our tools

When you load a subtitle file, it is read by JavaScript running in your browser. The file, its contents and the fixed version you download never reach our servers, and we can't see them.

Cookies and local storage

SubtitleMedic stores only two small preferences on your device, so the site works the way you left it:

  • Language: a cookie named NEXT_LOCALE remembers the language you picked.
  • Theme: your browser's local storage remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.

Neither is used to track you, and neither is sent to anyone else. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Analytics

We don't use any analytics tool at the moment. We never collect the contents of your files.

Contact form

If you write to us through the Contact page, your email address, the topic and your message are sent to Web3Forms, the service that delivers the form to our inbox. We use them only to reply to you. The form never sends subtitle files.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs of requests to the site, such as IP address, browser type and the pages visited. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, and they never include the contents of your files.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and to object to how it is processed. SubtitleMedic holds almost no personal data, but if you have a request, email us and we will reply.

Children

SubtitleMedic is not aimed at children under 13 (16 in the EU), and we don't knowingly collect data about them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, for example because we add analytics or advertising, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
